Altair Partners with James River Technical to Enhance Academic Grant Program

JRT to provide PBS Professional services to Academic community TROY, MI (June 3, 2008) – Altair announced today it will partner with James River Technical (JRT) to enhance its Academic Grant Program with professional sales and support for North American academic customers beginning in July 2008. When Altair launched the Academic Grant Program in 2002, it provided educational institutions with leading grid and cluster computing tool PBS Professional to Universities in North America and around the world. In order to provide a superior customer experience, JRT will now act as Altair’s preferred partner for the North American academic sector.

The US list price for PBS Professional is $13.50 per CPU-core/year (annual lease license) or $40.50 per CPU-core (perpetual license). Altair and JRT have also designed transition programs to assist qualified academic institutions in the shift to the new licensing models.
